RFF & Associados's tax adviser, Manuel Lopes Faustino, has comment on the withholding tables, stating that "there is no technical/ practical reason that could prevent the publication of withholding tables immediate after the State Budget is published". In limit, and facing the country a slightly increase of the tax burden, the government should do it straight after the withholding table approval, i.e. once the document is promulgated.
